Because of the simple lines of both the sink and the faucet, the sink is incredibly easy to clean. Not many nooks and crannies to address.
Thankfully, my research led me to this review from Yellow Brick Home. Although Kim and Scott had good things to say about their Ikea Godmorgon vanity, after a few months, theirs started to sag in the middle.
With the advice of Yellow Brick Home, I purchased legs from Pretty Pegs for our vanity. Although the Godmorgon is a floating-style vanity, I wanted it to look like a freestanding vanity. We purchased three legs: one for each front corner and a third to support the weight of the sink in the middle

I chose the largest matte black metal legs I could find. I purchased the matte black Greta legs in 8.3 (210) height.
The Ikea fronts come with huge plastic edge pulls. I knew I wasn’t going to use them. After installing the vanity I felt that a simple handle pull would be more ergonomic for us. We chose these matte black bar pulls from CB2 in the 8” style and I really like them.
The drawers are spacious, but they are super deep. Ikea sells plastic organizers specifically for Godmorgon drawers. They help compartmentalize the space, but they don’t fit perfectly. However, we are using customized drawer fronts, so I can’t dock points for that.

If you are considering the Godmorgon vanity and don’t want to buy the plastic organizers, you may need to come up with a custom organization solution.
The mirror is massive and also has tons of storage. It is also very tall, so it might not work well for shorter people or bathrooms for children.
I love the multi-mirrored surface. It shows every little fingerprint and smudge, but it’s easily cleaned with a damp cloth (no cleaner required!).

Bottom line: this storage unit has tons of space, but if a lack of compartments and fingerprints on glass drive you crazy, this might not be the vanity for you.
Originally I wanted to source a wood buffet or dresser and convert it into a freestanding vanity. Unfortunately, after months of searching, we came up empty-handed. Everything was either too expensive, in terrible condition, too big, or too small.

We are currently installing these base units as Storage utility units in the kitchen, & bathroom in our new home, a Georgian Cottage, built in 1874, that has limited storage space. The kitchen drawers store cookware, & then top is a service unit for coffee maker. A much admired addition to our home.5
PurchaserEdGreat vanity this the third one we have purchased. The only thing I wish is the plumbing needs to be adapted to fit our standard size drain lines. So an adaptor included would be a nice touch to make the installation easier. Thank you5

Love Hemnes bathroom vanity and mirrored cabinet made to match.LyndaQuality is excellent. Lower drawer is deep enough to hold toilet rolls, cleaning supplies and large bottles of mouthwash. The sectioning in the drawers helps with organizing bathroom necessities. I replaced the dark knobs with nickel coloured pulls to match the shower and sink fixtures.5
