Bad design - overpriced tooAndreeaUsed metod corner cabinet in the past no issues. This was before got the revamped web. Ordered it and the app suggested a shelf. Bad luck for me, good sale for - it was too small as it was for the wall cabinet. The same app did not suggest some useful knobs and we forgot them (review would have been better). In the end this corner cabine can accomodate a sink only on one single side. Does know there are two sides on the corner? This does not give me the touted freedom to design ....!1

Good space usageVerified BuyerWe considered this option or using a blind corner cabinet. This seems much better use of space. It is a shame that the shelf just goes across one side rather than matching the shape of the bottom piece. Maybe a shelf that has a bend in it would have to be fixed rather than moveable. We also had the option to include a swing out set of shelves. However, they did not seem very strong and because it was for a rental property we were afraid it might break. This option was also more costly.4

Here are some examples of how you can transform the space in your cabinets and drawers. It’s a bit longer and heavier than usual. But bear with me. I believe it’ll be useful for the next person planning an IKEA kitchen purchase.
Customise Your Ikea Cabinets With Customea
While I used the IKEA METOD kitchen, which is in metric – the IKEA Kitchen Planner tips can be applied to the IKEA SEKTION kitchen range.
I’m old school so I used pen and paper to plan before I laid my plans down on the software. IKEA even provided grid paper here.
Then starting from one corner of the wall, I added the right combination of base cabinets according to the length of the wall and how I would use the cabinets. (Eg. a pull out cabinet for sauces and condiments to the left of my stove, drawers for cutlery in the kitchen island) Did the same for the wall cabinets. When I had a rough idea of how it should go I was ready to plan online.
